Check support for the actual permit
ProMiles' public page includes dated state lists and expansion plans. Those are not a reliable live coverage matrix. Before the move, ask the issuing office whether the specific permit and permit type support the app, then check that the route loads.
Do that while parked and before departure. Confirm the document version, start and end points, road sequence and any conditions that must still be read in the permit. A route that appears successfully is only one part of the pre-trip review.
Keep the different ProMiles products separate
PermitManager is an ordering and planning platform. AASHTOWare PermitRoute, powered by ProMiles, is an agency permitting and routing product. Neither should be treated as another name for the driver guidance app.
When evaluating a feature, ask about the named product and your access to it. A capability in an agency system does not automatically establish that it is exposed in a driver app.
