This corrects an overly broad comparison: it is not accurate to say PC*Miler has no bridge or truck-restriction information. Its own materials describe those inputs. The question is how the selected edition handles your particular workflow.
Ask about the permit, not just the vehicle profile
A profile containing height, width and weight is not the same as an issued permit with a named sequence of roads and special conditions. For your evaluation, ask the vendor to show:
- How a permit-specific road sequence is entered or imported.
- How the driver sees the difference between the planned and authorized route.
- What happens when a closure or missed turn causes recalculation.
- Where special bridge instructions, escorts and movement windows appear.
- Which features require another product or integration.
